Volunteer Incentive Policy
Volunteer points is an incentive program to allow volunteers to use points that they have earned to purchase classes, memberships, or event admission. Participants earn points by volunteering for classes, work parties, or other events.
- Each volunteer point is equal to $1
- Multipliers are applicable based on other modifying policies, such as the WPA Instructor Opportunities policy.
- Volunteer points are only applicable to approved reimbursements. See the Eligible Reimbursements below; other policies may add to this list.
- Volunteer points cannot be exchanged for cash or any form of currency.
Assigning points
Introductory class
Maximum volunteer points awarded per class are as follows:
- Wednesday Returnee 6 pm: 2
- Saturday Beginner 9 am: 2
- Saturday Returnee 11 am: 1
To promote early registration the points awarded will be based on registration time.

Points are assigned per event by the board.
Other
Points may also be awarded to a participant by the board.
Examples:
- We have 3 instructors and John Doe (instructor) comes that morning when they were not supposed to so that class could continue.
- Student learns how to do fletching and spends 2 hours fletching club arrows.
Eligible Reimbursements
Other policies may add additional eligible reimbursements to the list below:
- WPA Merchandise via approved WPA merchandise providers
- WPA Membership Fee (Can be used directly in the WPA Class Registration process; reimbursement is not necessary)
- WPA Classes and Events (Can be used directly in the WPA Class Registration process; reimbursement is not necessary)
- USAA Fees (Class Volunteers and Instructors only, see the WPA Instructor Opportunities policy)
